Answer: There are 944 lots the broker will realize from this subdivision.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

For 10 acre tract,

Number of lots = 50 by 100 foot = 5000

If the tract has 85600 square feet, we need to find the number of lots.

Since 1 acre = 43560 square feet

so, 10 acres =
45360* 10=453600 square feet

Since there is direct variation, so it becomes,

(453600)/(5000)=(85600)/(x)\\\\90.72=(85600)/(x)\\\\x=(85600)/(90.72)\\\\x=943.56\\\\x\approx 944

Hence, there are 944 lots the broker will realize from this subdivision.
