Taoism is both religion and a philosophy. Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism and Shinto are religions mostly practiced in Japan and China

Taoism is both religion and a philosophy. It does not believe in any existence of God but it believes that a supernatural aspect in nature guides and gives strength for humans to exist. Buddhism is a great religion which is said to be originated in India had been practiced in China. Buddhists believe in eight fold path and renunciation of all desires will lead a man to salvation.

Confucianism is based to believe on the fatherly figure that is responsible for showering love and this love will make a human pure. This religion is based on teachings of a monk Confucius. Shinto can be referred to both philosophy and religion which originated and practiced in Japan. Japanese have a major love towards their land and Shinto believes that Japan was the first land of creation in the entire universe.
