Answer:

a. purple to orange =
(5)/(6)

b. purple to all beads=
\frac{5){11}

c. all beads to orange=
(11)/(6)

Explanation:

Given:

Colour of beads in jar = orange or purple

The ratio of orange to purple beads = 6 : 5

Solution:

Let number of orange beads be= 6x

Number of purple beads=5x

Total no of beads= 6x+5x=11x

a. Ratio of purple to orange.

Ratio of purple to orange=
\frac{\text{number of purple boads}}{\text{number of orange beads}}

Ratio of purple to orange=
(5x)/(6x)

Ratio of purple to orange=
(5)/(6)

b. Ratio of purple to all beads

Ratio of purple to all beads=
\frac{\text{number of purple beads}}{\text{Total number of  beads}}

Ratio of purple to all beads=
(5x)/(11x)

Ratio of purple to all beads=
(5)/(11)

c. Ratio of all beads to orange

Ratio of purple to all beads=
\frac{\text{Total number of  beads}}{\text{number of orange beads}}

Ratio of purple to all beads=
(11x)/(6x)

Ratio of purple to all beads=
(11)/(6)
