A 2 kg object moves along the x axis. The only force on it depends on time and equals (4N/s^2)t^2 + 4N. if the object is at rest at t = 0, what is the velocity at t = 4.0s?

Answer:

The change in momentum equals the area under the graph (the impulse). That area is 4N * 3s - 2N * 2s = 8 N s. Therefore . m delta(v) = 8 kg m/s. 1.2 kg * ( v(6) - v(0) ) = 8 kg m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

A)An object cannot remain at rest unless the net force acting on it is zero. B) If a block is moving to the left with constant velocity the net force applied to the block is zero. C) A block of mass 2 kg is acted upon by two forces: 3N (directed to the left) and 4N (directed to the right).
