Snack foods contain energy and your body needs energy for growth and maintenance. Why might dietitians recommend people limit their intake of snack foods?

Although snacks might boost your energy and can help individuals maintain a good energy level, some snacks might be filled with sugars that your body doesn't need.

Also, too many snacks and overeating isn't healthy for you body. A daily diet should consist of three meals and about one to two snacks.

In addition, snacks are not really important in someone's diet it is better to consume fruits and vegetables, rather than snacks.
