Two global patterns that we can infer from any global climate map:

1. Tropical regions tend to have a wet, warm climate all year round, except for a few areas that are either mountainous, or that are subject to specific climate phenomena, like the Humboldt Current, which makes the Peruvian coast dry, milder and desertic than it would otherwise be.

2. Boreal regions have mostly a taiga climate, where pine forests are common, and a small strip of tundra climate in the northermost regions, where the treeline disappears, and where most of the vegetation are shrubs.
