Answer:

Ricky kept
(7)/(36) of fudge for him

Explanation:

Given:

Amount of fudge made by john= 1/4

Amount of fudge made by Mary= 1/3

To Find:

How much fudge does Ricky keep=?

Solution:

It is said that Ricky makes sum of both the fudge. so,

Total sum of fudge =Amount of fudge made by john +Amount of fudge made by Mary

Total sum of fudge

=>\frac{1}{4}+\frac{1}{3}

=>
(3+4)/(4* 3)

=>
(7)/(12)

Now total fudge ricky have is
(7)/(12)

He divides this
(7)/(12) of fudge into 3 equal parts.

so,

=>
((7)/(12))/(3)

=>
(7)/(12)*(1)/(3)

=>
(7)/(36)
