If short whiskers is recessive, what would that parent's genotype be?

The parent genotype must be recessive,(that is their gene involved in fertilization to form the respective organism),but in fact parents may be normal but all carrier of that recessive gene

The answer could be recessive recessive (rr not Rr or RR). If the animal has short whiskers and it's recessive then both of the parents would have to have at least one recessive (or little r) in each of their genotypes. Hope this helped.
