The recreation can be done by the process of CRISPR-Cas9 editing of gene.

Step-by-step explanation:

The gene editing process is executed by Whiteman and his co-workers of California University by transforming fruit flies into a poisonous species. The monarch butterflies were made to undergo the process of this mutation of gene and were made eat milkweed of toxic category.

Through this process 3 CRISPR were edited to one gene to make a monarch caterpillar to eat milkweed. He was influenced by the evolutionary war between plants and insects which thrive him to discover this process.
