Answer:

11) x = 11

12) x = 11

Explanation:

11) Δ RQP and Δ RLK are similar.

Hence, the ratios of the corresponding sides of the two triangles will be constant.

So,
(RK)/(PR) = (RL)/(QR)

(x - 4)/(49) = (11)/(77)

(x - 4)/(49) = (1)/(7)

⇒ x - 4 = 7

x = 11 (Answer)

12) Δ QRS and Δ QDC are similar.

So,
(QD)/(QR) = (QC)/(QS)

(2x - 14)/(32) = (6)/(24)

⇒ 2x - 14 = 8

⇒ 2x = 22

x = 11 (Answer)
