Explanation:

The numbers are

(x-2)* (x-4) = x^ -64

Diistributive

x^-4x-2x+8 = x^-64

Subtract x^ on both sides (It will be cancelled)

-6x+8 = -64

Subtract 8 on both sides

-6x=-72

Divide both sides by -6

x=12

12-2=10

12-4=8

8*10=80 12*12=144 144-80=64

80+64=144
