As you can see , angle B = 72⁰ by angle sum property

So AB = AC = 8 cm (isosceles property)

Perimeter = 8 + 8 + 5 = 21 cm

Explanation:

Square the outsides of the triangle. 8 squared is 64 and 5 squared is 25.

A^2+B^2=C^2

c^2 is always the diagonal line.

a^2=25

c^2=64

Subtract 25 from 64 to find b^2

64-25= 39

Add all three together to get your perimeter.

The square root of 64 is 8, the square root of 25 is 5 and the square root of 39 is 6.24. Add 8, 5 and 6.24 together and you get the perimeter.

5+8+6.24= 19.24
