Very soon after the civil war, the second industrial revolution started. This meant that many people would move from farms into the cities and urbanization would take place. New jobs were created in the cities and farming was industrialized too. Cities were booming with population, the industry was being constructed and everything was quick and tense. On farms, life became a little bit slower and easier on the workers while in the cities it was a lot harder especially during the Gilded Age.
