there were acts that Britain had enforced onto the colonists that caused tension between both sides. there was the stamp act, the tea act, and many more. but there were instances where tension was caused by the colonists such as the Boston tea party.

Answer:

The Revolutionary War was caused due to colonial oppression by the British Crown. There were many unfair taxes and acts passed by the crown that the American colonists did not agree with. These taxes were imposed because Britain did not have enough money to pay of the debts that were caused from the French and Indian War. Hoped this helped!
