When we add fractions, we can only add them correctly if the denominators are the same. To do this, we would find the least common multiple of both of the denominators. The denominator of a fraction is the number under the fraction bar. (The number above the fraction bar is the numerator). The least common multiple of 15 and 10 is 30. We would then times both the numerator and the denominator by how much it would take to make 30. (15✖️2 =30. Then we multiply the numerator by 2 too.)

4 x2 8
— = —
15 x2 30

7 x3 21
— = —
10 x3 30

Then we add both fractions together.

8 21 29
— + —- = —-
30 30 30

Notice that when we add fractions, we do not add the denominators together, just the numerators.

So the answer is 29/30.

Answer: 29/30

Step-by-step explanation: To add these two fractions together, we start by finding their common denominator.

The common denominator for 15 and 10 is 30 so we multiply the top and bottom of our first fraction by 2 to get 8/30 and we multiply the top and bottom of our second fraction by 3 to get 21/30.

Now we are adding like fractions. To add like fractions, we simply add across the numerators.

8/30 + 21/30 = 29/30

Therefore, 4/15 + 7/10 = 29/30.
