Answer: $66.1

Explanation:

Hi, to answer this question we simply have to substitute w= 15 in the formula and solve.

P=28+2.54w

Replacing w for 15 (units of water)

P = 28 + 2.54 (15)

Solving for P:

P = 28+ 38.1

P=$66.1

When he used 15 units of water, the monthly payment for Randy was $66.1

Answer:

P= 66.1

Explanation:

  • Randy's monthly water bill payment consists on a fixed tariff ($28) plus an extra of $2.54 for every unit of water consumed.
  • Then,if an specific month Randy consumed 15 units of water, that month he would have to pay 15 x $2.54 dollars ($2.54 for every unit of water consumed) plus the fixed tariff of $28.
  • Then
    15*{2.54}+28= 66.1, which is the payment he would have to pay.
