Thought Griffith's experiment he postulated that genetical information could be transferred between bacteria, he used pneumococcal bacteria to infect mouses, the type III (virulent) killed the mouse and the type II (non virulent) did nothing to the mouse, then he proceeded to kill the type III bacteria by heat injecting this to another mouse not harming it, but when he combined this killed type III with normal type two it killed the mouse. This led him to the conclusion that the type II nonvirulent bacteria had been transformed into lethal type III.
