My way of solving this is by first, lining the 92 above the 7 to have a clear visual, like this:

Next, since 2-7=-5, it is best to cross out the 9, take away one, leaving 8, and giving that one to the two making it 12 like this:

now, subtract 7 from twelve which is five, and place it underneath, and bring the 8 down because there is nothing in front of the 7 to subtract from the 8. Your problem will look like this:

85:This is the answer.
