length of the rectangle=41 cm

let the width=w

length=w+2

Step 2: Determine the perimeter of the rectangle

P=2(L+W)

where;

P=perimeter of the rectangle

L=length of the rectangle

W=width of the rectangle

In our case;

P=160 cm

L=w+2

W=w

replacing;

2(w+w+2)=160

2(2 w+2)=160

4 w+4=160

4 w=160-4=156

4 w=156

w=156/4=39

width=39 cm

length=39+2=41 cm
