Which of the following fatty acids is best for human health? Select one: A. a. Fatty acids that only have single bonds between carbon atoms. B. b. Fatty acids that have one or more ‘straight’ trans-double bonds between carbon atoms. C. c. Fatty acids that have one or more ‘bent’ cis-double bonds between carbon atoms. D. d. All are equally bad for your health. 28-3 1 ptWhen you compare saturated with unsaturated fatty acids containing the same number of carbon atoms, what is true? Select one: A. a. Saturated fatty acids have more hydrogen atoms. B. b. Saturated fatty acids have more oxygen atoms. C. c. Saturated fatty acids are more curved. D. d. Saturated fatty acids have lower melting points. E. e. Saturated fatty acids have more double bonds.

Answer:for the first part of the question, the correct answer is option C.

For the second part the correct answer is option A

Step-by-step explanation:

FIRST PART:there are two fatty acids that are most essential to human; the Linoleni(omega-3) fatty acid and the Linoleic(omega-6) fatty acids. Both fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids, that is, having more than one double bond.

Linoleic(omega-6) fatty acid having two double bond is bent, while linoleni(omega-4) fatty acid is more of a hooked structure.

FOR THE SECOND PART:

Unsaturation in here has to do with presence of one or multiple double bond. With one or more double bond, we have less hydrogen attached to the chain, therefore, saturated fatty acids will have higher number of hydrogen than that of the unsaturated of the same number of carbon atoms.
