Researcher, Bruce Tuckman layed down five stages of group development process. They are:
- Forming stage or orientation.
- Storming Stage or power struggle.
- Norming Stage or Cooperation and Integration
- Performing Stage or Synergy
- Adjourning Stage or closure
The main focus during the working phase of the group therapy is to encourage and teach problem solving skills to facilitate behavioral changes.
