Answer: No, 7(5)+6(1)=41 and that doesn't match 7x+6y=7

Answer:

(5,1) is not a solution of the above system of equations.

Explanation:

We are given a system of equations that are

- 5y = - 5 ......... (1) and

7x + 6y = 7 ........... (2)

So, solving equation (1) we get y = 1 and putting y = 1 in the equation (2) we get 7x = 7 - 6(1) = 1

x = (1)/(7)

So, it clear from the solution of the above equations i.e. (
(1)/(7), 1), we can say that (5,1) is not a solution of the above system of equations. (Answer)
