Democracy and Olympics are two of the greatest contributions the ancient Athens made to the future civilizations.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • DEMOCRACY: The ancient Athens first started a monarchy which is followed by oligarchy before its democracy came to in the picture. They made a democratic government which involved 6,000 adult male citizens as assembly members. The created assembly focused and voted on the problems throughout Athens. They had 2 major rules i.e. when there was a law to be passed, majority votes were required from the assembly. But all of the 6,000 votes of the assembly were required to order to exile someone.
  • OLYMPICS: In ancient Greece, the Olympics were started in the city of Olympia in honor of the king god, Zeus. The inhabitants from city-states of Ancient Greece and its colonies participated in the Olympic Games which were held every four years. The winners of the games were given the prize of glory and fame i.e., the statues of the winners were elevated. Continuing the old tradition, today's Olympic Games includes the lightning flame, olive leaf crowns and the opening and closing ceremony.
