Explanation:

P= -1/2s^2 +280s-1200

this is in standard form: ax^2+bx+c

x=-b/2(a)

x=-(280)/2(-1/2)=

x=70

substitute x back in the equation to find your y coordinate for the vertex

P= -1/2(70)^2+280(70)-1200

P= 15950
