Mostly in somatic cells, the chromosomes are arranged in pairs which are known as diploid organism. In chimpanzees, 48 numbers of chromosomes are present and in the somatic cells of this organism, the chromosomes are arranged in 24 pairs i.e., a total of 48 chromosomes.
