Answer:

Quotient is 121 and remainder is 0.

Explanation:

Given

Dividend = 605

Divisor = 5

Using Partial Quotients:

Solution:

Partial quotients method uses repeated subtraction to solve simple division.

Step 1 :Dividend is 605 and divisor is 5, so multiply the divisor with 100 we will get answer 500 which is subtracted from dividend and now the remainder is 105 and quotient is 100.

Step 2: Now dividend is 105 and divisor is 5, so multiply the divisor with 20 we will get answer 100 which is subtracted from dividend and now the remainder is 5 and quotient is 20.

Step 3: Step 2 Now dividend is 5 and divisor is 5, so multiply the divisor with 1 we will get answer 5 which is subtracted from dividend and now the remainder is 0 and quotient is 1.

Step 4: adding all the Quotients we get
(100+20+1) =121.

Hence Quotient is 121 and Remainder is 0.
