The connective tissue is classified in: loose or dense. As their names imply, loose connective tissue has fewer cells and fibers per area whereas in the dense connective tissue the cells and fibers are tightly packed. The dense connective tissue is further divided into regular and irregular. The main difference is the arrangement of the fibers in these tissues. In the regular dense connective tissue, all the fibers are oriented in one direction. In contrast in the irregular dense connective tissue the fibers have multiple orientations
