Answer:

a=6

Explanation:

-8+√((5a-5))=-3

Adding 8 both sides.

8-8+√((5a-5))=-3+8

√((5a-5))=5

Squaring both sides.

(√((5a-5)))^2=5^2

5a-5=25

Adding 5 both side.

5a-5+5=25+5

5a=30

Dividing by 5 both sides.

(5a)/(5)=(30)/(5)

a=6
