In the city of Springfield. 75% of

the parks have tennis courts. If 15 parks
have tennis courts, how many parks does
Springfield have altogether?
(I found other answers but they used 18!?!??) pls help I’m dumb

Answer:

20 parks

Explanation:

75% is 3/4

15 is 3/4

5 is 1/4

15 + 5 = 20

Answer: 20 parks

Explanation:

Let the total number of parks be y.

Then 75% of y = 15 , that is


(75)/(100) x y = 15

75y = 15 x 100

75y = 1500

divide through by 75

y = 1500/15

y = 20

Therefore Springfield have 20 parks altogether
