When finding the slope of two points, remember the equation
(y_2 - y_1)/(x_2 - x_1).

In this scenario, the equation
(0 - (-2))/(1 - (-3)) is made with these two points.

By doing some simple subtraction, we get
(2)/(4), which can be simplified to just
(1)/(2).

The slope of (-3,-2) and (1,0) is
(1)/(2).

Good luck! If you need me to explain any of this in more depth, just ask and I'll do so :))
