The distance (r) between any two points (a,b) and (c,d) is :—

r = \sqrt{{(a - c)}^(2) + {(b - d)}^(2) }

Putting the values,

\sqrt{ {( - 4 + 8)}^(2) + {( - 3 - 2) }^(2) }

r = √(16 + 25)

r = √(41)

The distance between the points is √41
