it would be 4* 1/4, which is one, and add 4*2, which is nine.

Parenthesis:

just add 2 and 1/4, which is 2 1/4. 2 1/4 is equal to 9/4, and that times 4 is nine.

(1)/(4) in (1) we get,


Y=4((1)/(4)+2)
