Answer:

21/15

72/18

Explanation:

For the first one

you have to get rid of yards and feet so you would take

7yards/15feet and take it times 3feet/1yard, because there are 3feet in a yard and you are trying to get rid of the units, so by taking those times each other you get

21/15 and the units cross out

For the second one

you have to get rid of the feet and inches this time

6feet/18inches* 12inches/1foot

72/18 and again the units cross out

The ratio of 6 feet to 18 inches is 72:18, which simplifies to 4:1. The correct answer is not among the given options.

Let's determine the correct ratios for each of the given pairs.

7 yards to 15 feet:

Since 1 yard is equal to 3 feet, we can convert both measurements to the same unit (feet) to simplify the comparison.

7 yards * 3 feet/yard = 21 feet

Therefore, the ratio of 7 yards to 15 feet is 21:15. The correct answer is not among the given options.

6 feet to 18 inches:

There are 12 inches in 1 foot. Converting both measurements to the same unit (inches), we get:

6 feet * 12 inches/foot = 72 inches

Therefore, the ratio of 6 feet to 18 inches is 72:18, which simplifies to 4:1. The correct answer is not among the given options.
