Does the equation 1/2(1+4x)=2x-3 have infinite many solutions

Step 1) multiply both sides of the equation by 2

Step 2) cancel equal terms on both sides of the equation

Step 3) The statement is false for any value of X (you would end up with 1=-6)

Therefore the statement all real numbers meaning the equation will have infinite solutions.
