Explanation:

The angle opposite of 92 degree angle (the one that makes "cross" sign) is 92 degrees because of vertical angles.

Since two sides of triangle are equal ("||" sign), then the opposite angles are equal, so the other angle is "x" as well.

So, for the triangle we have the 3 angles as:

92, x, and x

Sum of 3 angles in triangle is 180, so we write an equation and solve for x:

92 + x + x = 180

2x + 92 = 180

2x = 88

x = 88/2

x = 44

Now, this "x" and "y" make a straight line (straight angle). Straight angle is 180 degrees, thus we can write:

x + y = 180

44 + y = 180

Solving for y, we have:

44 + y = 180

y = 180 - 44

y = 136
