x = -6, y= -4

Explanation:

y = 3x + 14

x - 2y = 12 Y = 3x + 14

x - 2 ( 3x + 14 ) = 12 Y = 3 (-6) + 14

x -6x -28 = 12 Y = -18 + 14

-5x - 28 = 12 Y = -4

-5x = 30

x = -6
