Mr. Peters' class heard about a recent oil spill in Chesapeake Bay. The class wondered how the oil would affect the water and plant life, so they decided to make a model of the event. Mr. Peters placed some sand, plants, and water in a small aquarium. He then added some oil. The class then observed what happened in their model over the next few days. How is the model of the event different from the actual event?

The items used to make the model didn’t resemble the texture/formula of the real life thing. The answers will differ greatly but the model is a good indicator to what happened.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The model of the event is different from the actual event because the model event is just to experiment the actual event that occurred. The model event is an experiment carried out in an aquarium compared to the actual event that happened in Chesapeake Bay.

What will be observed from the model event will not depicts the actual damage that occur in the actual event. It will only give an insight to possible damage that happened in the actual event.

The oil Mr peters added to the model event is controlled compared to the actual event where the oil spillage couldn't be controlled. An experiment can be controlled generally meanwhile an actual or real life event have minimal or no control.
