The complete equation is

\sqrt{6 - ( - 3) {}^(2) + (1 - 5) {}^(2) }

and c = 9.85

The equation for the distance between two points is expressed as;

c = √X-x)² + (Y -y)²

The coordinates of the two points are given

Therefore , the equation is

c = \sqrt{6 - ( - 3) {}^(2) + (1 - 5) {}^(2) }

solving this

c = \sqrt{9 {}^(2) + ( - 4) {}^(2) } \\ = √(81 + 16) \\ = √(97) \\ = 9.85
