Answer: Precisely. People should be against the death penalty because it is a violation of human rights. Furthermore, when the government kills someone, they are in the wrong just as much as the criminal was except the difference is is that we a society should be able to trust and belief in our government and when the government murders people in cold blood, we lose our faith in the government. The government has to set the standards for the citizens and when they murder people, they send the message to the citizens that humans lives are worthless.
