So, here the slope of the given line is
m = ((8-(-6)))/(8-6)  = (8+6)/(2)   = 7

or , m = 7

Now, by POINT SLOPE FORMULA:

The equation of a line with point (x0,y0) and slope m is given as:

(y- y0) = m (x -x0)

⇒ Here, the equation of line with (8,8) is y - 8 = 7 (x -8)

or, y - 8 = 7 x - 56

or, 7 x - y = 48 is the required line equation.
