Hi could you please help me

The ratio of dogs to cats in a shelter is 9 : 15. If the total number of cats and dogs is 96, how many dogs are there?

Answer:

if their numbers is 96

and ratio is 9: 15 then

9×4: 15×4

36+60=96

60 dogs

Explanation:

Fraction of cats = 9/24

Fraction of dogs = 15/24

Total of animals = 96

Therefore, the number of dogs in the animal shelter will be:

15/24 x 96
