Distribute the 3 in (x-4). You should get 3x-12=12x. Now solve for x. Subtract the 3x from both sides. You should get 12=9x. Divide 9 by both sides. Your answer is 12/9. Now you have to reduce it. Your FINAL ANSWER IS 4/3. Hope this helps :)
