Kyuna has a bunny farm. She starts out with one bunny, and then she buys another. The next year, her bunny population is 3. After another year, she has 5 bunnies. After another year, she has 8. The next year, year 5, she has 13 bunnies. If the number of bunnies Kyuna has s defined by the pattern 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, ..., where 2 is the number of bunnies she has in year 1, how many bunnies will she have in year 10?

Answer:

144

Explanation:

If you look at the pattern you would assume that before the first 1 in the pattern is 0 so to make the second number in the pattern you showed you would just add 1+0 which equals 1 which is the next number in your pattern. so then look at the number 2 you would just add the number behind it, which is 1, to make the number 3 you continue doing this (adding the number behind it) till you reach the tenth year which would be 144.

1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13

0+1=1 1+1=2 2+3=5 5+8=13 13+8=21 21+13=34 34+21=55 55+34=89 89+55=144
