Out of 365 days, it is estimated that a typical American works 13 days to pay for clothing, 30 days to pay for food, 53 days to pay for health and medical care, and 62 days to pay for housing. How many days does he/she work to pay for federal, state and local taxes

Answer:

207 days

Explanation:

Well, the first thing that I would do to solve this problem is to add all of the workdays up:

13 + 30 + 53 + 62 = 158 days

Now we have to subtract that total from 365 days in a year:

365 - 158 = 207 days

So assuming that this average human doesn't have any days off then this would mean that the average human works 207 days to pay for state and local taxes.
