The ratio of red cars to blue cars in a parking lot was 7:2. If there were 35 red cars, how many blue cars were there?

I believe the answer is 10 blue cars.

I found this answer because I divided 35 and 7 which equals 5. The ratio is 1 ever 5 cars. So to find the number of blue cars you would just do the opposite of what you did to find the ratio which is multiplying. So you would do 2 times 5 which is 10.

Explanation:

to get 35 red cars you would need to multiply the 7 red cars by 5, so u would do the same with the blue cars. The 2 blue cars multiplied by 5 would be 10 blue cars.
