Zach, normally as active as a fly in a doughnut shop, was on his stomach sleeping quietly. the author’s use of a simile in this sentence conveys to the reader that Zach usually —

The author conveys to the reader that Zach has a great amount of energy (C) since he is being compared to a fly (always flying in speed although flying doesn’t apply to him) and a doughnut shop makes us think about sweets and sugar- sugar gives us energy so Option C is the best suitable answer- hope this helps!!!

Also if the sugar gives us energy part didn’t make sense in this plz ignore:)
