Lets say that Mallory pays
\$17.70 for
3 rides on the Water slides.

There in the question Mallory's ride is undefined,so we take it as Water slide ride.

Ferris wheel ride cost
=\$1.25

And Water slides cost
=\$5.9

Explanation:

Now lets assign
y for Ferris wheel ride and
x for water slide.

According to the question.

Kyra spent
\$15.55 for
3 rides on Ferris wheel and
2 on Water slide, so
3(y)+2(x) =\$ 15.55

Similarly for Mallory we have
3(x)=\$17.70

We have two equations and two unknowns.

Firstly we will find the value of Water slide cost that is
x then,

3(x)=\$17.70

Dividing both sides with
3

x=(\$17.70)/(3) =\$5.9

The cost of each Water slide ride
=x=\$5.9

Now

Plugging the value of
=(x)=\$5.9 in
3(y)+2(x) =\$ 15.55.

3(y)+2(x) =\$ 15.55

3(y)+2(5.9) =\$ 15.55

3(y)+11.8=\$ 15.55

Subtracting
(11.8) both sides

3(y)=3.75

y=(3.75)/(3) = 1.25

So the cost of Ferris wheel
=\$1.25

The cost of Ferris wheel ride
=\$1.25 and the cost of Water slides
=\$5.9
