2(7m-3) = 12m+1
14m-6 = 12m+1
2m = 7
m = 7/2

7m - 3 =
(1)/(2) ( 12m + 1)

cross multiplying, we have

2(7m-3) = 12m + 1

Expanding the L.H.S , we have

14m - 6 = 12m + 1

collecting the like terms ,we have

14m - 12m = 1 + 6

2m = 7

Dividing through by 2

m = 7/2

m = 3
