If I receive 3 hour of sick time for every 40 hours I work, and I work 30 hours per week how many hours of sick time do I receive per year. (For 52 weeks)

Explanation:

The total number of sick hours I receive can be expressed as follows;

T=S×N

where;

T=Total number of sick hours

S=number of sick hours per 40 hours of work

N=total number of work works

In our case;

T=unknown

S=(3/40) hours

N=number of hours per week×number of weeks in a year=(30×52)=1,560 weeks

replacing in the expression below;

Total number of sick hours(T)=number of sick hours per 40 hours of work(S)×total number of work works(N)

T=(3/40)×1,560

T=117

The total number of hours of sick time you will receive per year=117 hours
