For a science project, Arthur is dropping a ball from different elevations. He is trying to

have the ball bounce to a height of exactly 48 inches. During the first test, the ball
bounced to a height of 49 inches. Arthur recorded the trial as (+1). He recorded the
next trial as (-5). How high did the ball bounce during the second trial?​

The goal is to reach 48 so if the first time recorded he reached 49 that means it went up by 1 the second time the ball bounced 5 inches less then the goal which means it’s 43
